SST 295-04 - Special Topic: Conflict Analysis1 credits (Spring) This course engages students with a variety of conflict analysis models, and will provide opportunities to practice applying models to cases of societal and global conflict. Students will explore lenses, such as gender and culture, through which conflicts may be analyzed, and will examine how such lenses shape perceptions of a conflict. The course uses film, class discussions, and role-play activities to analyze contemporary conflicts, and to think critically about strategies for addressing them. Students will have an opportunity to do a full-day community conflict simulation on the Saturday following the last day of class (March 2) to earn an additional credit(for a total of two credits).
